The RGV Poller - The Political Pulse of the Valley, is a new website that is dedicated to promoting voter participation in the Rio Grande Valley. The site allows registered users to login and vote for their candidate online. The RGV Poller will begin as a polling site and then migrate to a community site where users and communities will be able to create communities online and forums for discussions regarding Valley politics and to address any issues that constituents and candidates are trying to resolve. The RGV Poller is fast becoming the premier site for politics and for providing information on candidates running for offices across the four county area. RGV Poller's goal is to inform the community of the qualifications of the candidates running for office and to allow the constituents the opportunity to know who the candidates are and to make an informed decision when voting. The problem with all elections is voter participation, we plan to change that by informing the community and showing the community how their one vote can make the difference. We are an impartial site and do not promote negative comments and/or "mudslinging" this site is to inform the public. We will also have a page that will illustrate to the community how different "political clicks" are connected and who the members are in those clicks and where they operate. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! No longer will the political landscape of the Valley be dictated by a few families or special interest groups. You will be exposed.
We invite all the Valley residents to visit the RGV Poller and make your voice heard by voting. There is power in numbers and your vote does count regardless what any candidate may tell you. VOTE! It's your RIGHT! BE HEARD!
Candidates if you do not see your pushcard at RGV Poller, please forward your pushcard along with your photo to rgvpoller@rgvpoller.org . We will place your information that same day.
